The Disqualified Round Towers of Ireland

Bruckless (Co.Donegal) – visited 11 August 1998

A round tower in the grounds of the Catholic church in this village five miles east of Killybegs, was built as a belfry by the parish priest, Monsignor Stephens, about a hundred years ago. Though sometimes described as a "restored" tower there was no earlier one on the site. (B.)
